Hong Yue

  • Dr. Hong Yue is a Senior Lecturer at the Industrial Control Centre, Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering, University of Strathclyde, UK. She received BEng and MEng degrees in Industrial Process Control Engineering in 1990 and 1993, respectively, from Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Beijing, China, and PhD degree in Control Theory and Applications in 1996 from East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai, China. She joined Strathclyde University in 2007 as a Lecturer in control engineering, having previously worked as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (1996-2000), and a Research Associate at the University of Manchester (2001-2006). Dr. Yue is interested in multiplinary research that integrates systems and control technologies to analyse and improve complex systems. She has extensive research experience in modelling, control and optimisation of various systems including renewable energy systems, process systems, and biological networks.
