    Shaopeng Wu (S’10–M’11) was born in Heilongjiang, China, in 1983. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2005, 2008, and 2011, respectively.

    He is currently an Associate Professor with HIT. He was a Visiting Scholar of Wisconsin Electric Machines and Power Electronics Consortium (WEMPEC) with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison WI, USA, from 2013 to 2014. His current research interests include the design and control of special electric machines, the research of multiphysical coupling, the related technologies in electromagnetic launch field, and the research of wireless power transfer.

    Prof. Wu has been a member of the IEEE Magnetics Society and the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society since 2011, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society and IEEE Industry Applications Society since 2015. He was a recipient of the Peter J. Kemmey Memorial Scholarship by the 15th International EML Symposium, Brussels, Belgium, in 2010.
