Stefan Andreasson

  • Stefan Andreasson is Senior Lecturer in Comparative Politics in the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics at Queen’s University Belfast. He works in the areas of international and comparative politics with a primary interest in the political economy of development and energy markets. His research has generally focussed on sub-Saharan Africa and the post-colonial world. His research has been funded by the ESRC World Economy and Finance Research Programme, the British Academy and the Nuffield Foundation. Publications indicative of his key research interested have appeared in journals such as Political StudiesPolitical GeographyBusiness & SocietyThird World QuarterlyDemocratization, The Extractive Industries and Society and Journal of Contemporary African Studies. He is the author of Africa’s Development Impasse: Rethinking the Political Economy of Transformation (Zed Books) and is currently writing a book entitled Conservatism and Postcolonial Politics.
